SNOW... WTF?!?

Yes, it is almost the end of April. And, yes, it is snowing. Punctuated by bursts of bright sunshine, it has been hailing and snowing off and on for the past 2 days. We protected our little plants with these appropriately-little cloches

The ferns in our yard are beginning to unfurl. Now I see why I needed to trim back the big beautiful green fronds...to let the new little baby ones grow.

Watching the crazy snow storm. Just a second after I snapped this picture there was a HUGE bolt of lightning that streaked across the sky. Kaden backed slowly away from the window as the thunder rumbled the house, looking at me with huge eyes, and then signed and said "more???". Ever since he has been sitting next to me on the couch asking over and over again "Watch light more??", but it hasn't given a repeat performance.

You know that's kinda funny. I turn a little bit into a 5 year old boy when the lightening comes. I just go out front and wait... and wait... and wait.. Love the stuff.

What amazing pictures! Those ferns are so delicate and full of promise. I just loved the Kaden story...and of course the baby butts.

Oh those little bums are too cute! I love thunder and lightning storms. The weather has been crazy! Our van was full of laughter coming home from portland on Saturday...cause of the hail, then snow then sunshine...In the end the snow and hail won, covering the ground completely!
Blah, blah, blah! :)

Ok the picture of the boys is beyond cute. Storms are one of the things I miss the most about the desert. I miss watching all the lightening and then the smell..... the smell of a desert storm is unlike any other.
